OperaIrina Lungu makes Greek National Opera debut in “Faust”

In April 2022, Irina Lungu will make her debut at the Greek National Opera as Marguerite in Faust. Her performances at the Stavros Niarchos Hall will take place from April 6 to 16 and will feature Ivan Magrì in the title role, Yanni Yannissis as Méphistophélès, Dionysios Sourbis as Valentin, Miranda Makrynioti as Siébel, Anna Agathonos as Marthe and George Mattheakakis as Wagner. Pierre Dumoussaud will conduct, while the staging is by Renato Zanella. Irina Lungu made her role debut as Marguerite at the Teatro alla Scala in 2010 and later performed the role on such stages as the Dutch National Opera in Amsterdam, the Teatro Regio in Turin, the Teatro Real of Madrid, the Sydney Opera House and the Royal Opera House Covent Garden.
